Classic Car

A few weeks ago I was doing some shopping at Anthropologie and Balducci's and I parked right next to this classic Jeep Wagoneer. I automatically thought of "Tickled Pink and Green" and her love of classic Jeeps. I thought I'd take a photo for her.

Well, as I was taking the picture I got of glimpse of the interior and OMGoodness!!!!!! The interior upholstery was all done up in plaid. Yes, plaid. Can you believe it? Tickled Pink and Green loves Jeeps, but she also loves anything plaid. This car had both together. Amazing. For a second I thought it must belong to her, but then I remembered that she lives all the way in Texas, nowhere near Connecticut. It is adorable, don't you think?

Birthday Wishes

I love when I come across a great phrase, saying or quote. I found a new favorite blog called Blooming on Bainbridge written by an absolutely adorable woman named Teresa. This poem/quote was included in a posting about her father's 70th birthday party.

Cupcake Wars

Food Network has a cute new show called "Cupcake Wars". I think it is interesting to see all the combinations of flavors and decorating the bakers come up with. The bad puns spoken by the host are a tad annoying. But, overall, a fun-filled show. Check it out.

Real Housewives of New York Drama Drama

I am in L-O-V-E with all of Bravo's Real Housewives of _____ franchise. But I have to say that I am loving this season. The drama between Jill and Bethenny is intense. The Countess is horrible. Yuck (and I used to like her in previous seasons). My feelings about Alex have changed this season as well. I wonder how much of this is due to editing or have the characters really changed?

The Kingdom

Why all the hype about Larry King's (upcoming) divorce? It will be his 8th divorce, so it can't be any surprise to anyone involved, can it?

Spice of Life

I saw an ad in a magazine recently (can't remember which one...I'm a bit of a magazine addict). Anyway, McCormick spice company has these cool new recipe cards which come with all the spices you need already premeasured out for you. They are called 'recipe inspirations'.

I think this is an amazing idea because there are times when I don't make a recipe because I don't have all of the spices I need or sometimes I don't want to invest the few dollars on a full size jar of a spice if I don't know if I am going to use it again. Check it out.

Who Do You Think You Are?

I am currently watching a new show on NBC called "Who Do You Think You Are?" on NBC. It is a show where celebrities are able to trace their roots back through many many generations. Brooke Shields (love her!) is the featured celebrity tonight. It is really fascinating to see how far back the geneological experts are able to go.

Say It Isn't So

I am so sad about Sandra Bullock and Jesse James. I am such a fan of both of them. His low-key personality on 'The Apprentice' and her fun personality always shine through in interviews and such things.

I really thought that out of all Hollywood couples they were so "un-Hollywood" that they would live their own happy ending in Texas.

The entertainment shows that I love love love are calling it the "Oscars Curse" with all of the following actresses having marriages end after winning their award.
